Paint-ready

PVC, reimagined

A PVC wall panel is a decorative wall covering made of polyvinyl chloride, a rigid, lightweight material that covers an interior wall much like wainscoting, adding texture or hiding imperfections. There are two families: printed panels (faux marble or faux wood) with a fixed pattern, and paint-ready panels, supplied unfinished and painted to your own taste.

Linéapur belongs firmly to the second. Where a print dictates the look, a paint-ready panel leaves the choices to you: the colour, a matte or satin finish, how it works with your furniture. One wall, endless possibilities.

Three profiles, one standard

Pure, rigid PVC, with a raw surface designed to hold paint and flutes that play with raking light. Each panel measures 9 feet long (2,743 mm) and 1.5 cm thick, interlocks with the next and is easily trimmed to fit your wall.

Colour is half the story in any interior, and the 2027 design trends bear that out. A paint-ready panel picks up your walls, your materials and your style, and changes with your taste in a single coat of paint. For a curved wall, choose our flexible paint-ready panels.

The honest take

Every material has its place. Here's an honest look at PVC.

The strengths

  • The most affordable decorative material
  • Light enough to install on your own
  • Cuts with a utility knife and simply glues in place
  • Takes on exactly the colour you choose
  • Wipes clean with a damp cloth

Worth knowing

  • Up close, it has neither the grain of wood nor the depth of stone
  • The result depends on careful priming and painting
  • A plastic material, less sustainable than real wood

How it compares

PVC is an excellent starting point. When the wall needs to become the centrepiece, other materials take the lead.

Installation in four steps

Have a floor plan? Send it our way: we'll provide a plan-based quote and the exact number of panels. You'll also find all our installation guides.

  • 1
Installing PVC wall panels: measuring and cutting a panel with a ruler and utility knife

    Measure and cut

Measure the wall, transfer the dimensions to the panel, then cut with a rigid-blade utility knife or a fine-tooth saw. PVC cuts cleanly.

  • 2
Installing PVC wall panels: preparing the wall and removing dust

    Prepare the surface

A clean, dry, flat wall: remove the dust and fill any irregularities.

  • 3
Installing PVC wall panels: applying construction adhesive to the flat back of the panel

    Glue in place

Construction adhesive works on most surfaces and gives a clean installation with no visible fasteners.

  • 4
Installing PVC wall panels: a primed and painted Linéapur Drum wall

    Prime and paint

A bonding primer for smooth surfaces, then two coats of interior acrylic paint in your chosen colour. This is where the wall comes to life.

Frequently asked questions

Yes. Rigid PVC stands up to everyday knocks and won't warp once installed. Painted, it's easy to clean and keeps its good looks for years.

Linéapur comes unfinished and paint-ready. After a bonding primer, apply an interior acrylic paint in the colour and sheen of your choice: matte, satin or gloss. Choose a low-VOC paint for a healthier home. The final look is entirely up to you.

Use a rigid-blade utility knife for straight cuts and a fine-tooth saw for more intricate shapes. PVC cuts cleanly, without chipping, and calls for no specialized tools.

We'd rather be upfront: PVC is a plastic and doesn't have the environmental profile of a real wood panel. If sustainability drives your choice, our wood panels are a better fit. PVC remains the most affordable option and the simplest to install.

Linéapur panels start at $29 each, with delivery throughout Québec and across Canada. For a larger project, request a quote based on your plans.

PVC is more affordable, lighter and can be painted any colour you like. Wood brings grain, warmth and, with our acoustic models, genuine acoustic comfort. Many of our clients combine the two from room to room. Explore our real wood panels.
