For a living room, go for warmth: real wood or velvet. For an office or an open-plan shop, wood on felt combines style with noise absorption. For a lobby or an accent wall, metal and concrete make a strong statement. Tell us about your room and its use, and we'll point you in the right direction.

Only if it's designed to. A hard wall covering (metal, some relief panels) stays purely decorative. Our felt-backed panels, on the other hand, absorb sound: the Acoustique Pro collection reaches an NRC of 0.75 to 0.90, which noticeably reduces a room's echo, according to Acoustical Surfaces.

No. Most of our wall coverings install with a few screws or panel adhesive. The flexible versions (wood, concrete, velvet) even wrap around columns and curves. We provide instructions, and we offer installation in Greater Montreal if you'd rather leave it to us.

On the dry walls of a kitchen, yes. For a bathroom, avoid areas directly exposed to water (inside a shower, an unprotected sink backsplash). If you're unsure about your room, write to us and we'll let you know what works.

With so many options, the choice comes down to three simple questions: which room, which look, and do you need acoustics.

Based on the Room

A living room or dining room calls for warmth: real wood or velvet do the job beautifully. An open-plan office or shop benefits from combining style with sound absorption, wood on felt checks both boxes. A lobby, a reception area, an accent wall? Metal or concrete make a strong statement right at the entrance. A practical note: our panels are designed for dry interior walls, not for constantly wet areas like the inside of a shower.

Based on the Look You Want

Warm and lively with wood. Raw and mineral with concrete. Contemporary and bright with metal. Soft and enveloping with velvet. Graphic and textured with lines and relief. Decorative Only, or Decorative and Acoustic?

That's the real question to ask. A purely decorative wall covering dresses up a room; an acoustic one dresses it up and absorbs noise too. If a room echoes (hard floors, high ceilings, a large window), a felt-backed panel changes the sound comfort as much as the look. Our Acoustique Pro panels reach a Noise Reduction Coefficient (NRC) of 0.75 to 0.90 depending on the finish, where a hard surface reflects sound instead of absorbing it, according to Acoustical Surfaces.

What About Installation?

Most of our wall coverings install with a few screws or panel adhesive, on a straight wall or a column for the flexible versions. Prefer to leave it to us? We offer installation in Greater Montreal. For DIY installs, every order comes with installation instructions.

Wallpaper has had its moment, and paint shows its limits too. A panel wall covering is something else: material, texture, presence. Wood brings warmth and grain, concrete its confident coolness, metal its shine, velvet its softness. We don't cover a wall to hide something. We do it to give the wall a role in the room.

And then there's sound comfort, too often forgotten when choosing. A beautiful wall that echoes is still a noisy wall. That's why a good share of our wall coverings are mounted on recycled PET felt: the material absorbs sound instead of reflecting it, and the felt is made largely from post-consumer plastic, recyclable at the end of its life. Decorative and acoustic, in a single move. For commercial projects, our panels also meet the Canadian CAN/ULC-S102 standard for surface burning, referenced in the National Building Code, according to UL Solutions Canada.
